Each year, the Women’s Foundation of Greater St. Louis (WFSTL) provides grant funding of up to $15,000 to organizations serving women in the St. Louis region. Grant recipients show a commitment to increasing job and living wage access to women, increasing support for working families, and/or increasing family well-being by eliminating barriers to success for women. In 2020, we selected LaunchCode’s CoderGirl program as one of our grant recipients. LaunchCode is a national nonprofit headquartered in St. Louis on a mission to build a skilled workforce by creating pathways for driven people seeking careers in technology.

With mixed emotion, the Board of Directors of the Women’s Foundation of Greater St. Louis announces that Keri Koehler will be stepping down from her position as Executive Director, effective Friday, August 6th. As a Foundation whose primary mission is to support women in the workplace, we are happy to support Keri as she adjusts her professional life so she can focus on her family. However, we will miss her leadership!
As Executive Director, Keri led the Foundation through the pandemic, and worked tirelessly to ensure our organization continued to be positioned to succeed. In addition, Keri was instrumental in producing our first-ever virtual Making a Difference event where we raised funds to help advance women’s economic success in St. Louis. She hosted a variety of educational webinars that drew audiences from across the region, among many, many other contributions to the long-term growth and success of our Foundation.
“It has been a great honor and privilege working for the Women's Foundation. As a working mother, I deeply value and appreciate the tremendous impact this organization is having in our region. I'm thrilled to see it continue to grow with its current leadership.” – Keri Koehler, WFSTL Executive Director
The Foundation is currently in a great place. Together, we have weathered the challenges of 2020, and our board leadership, our committees, which are composed of community leaders and board members, our amazing donors, and our staff have all been fortified through these challenges.
As our organization continues to grow and prosper in 2021, I am pleased to introduce Sarah Hines as the Interim Director of Communications and Development. Sarah has been working with WFSTL since December of 2020 as the Community Engagement Manager, leading all communications and branding efforts and managing our partnership at Rung for Women. Sarah has a master’s degree in Nonprofit Management from the University of Oregon and most recently served as the Director of STEM Programs at the Greater St. Louis Area Council, Boy Scouts of America. We are grateful to Sarah for providing leadership with communications and development going forward.
The Foundation’s calendar is filled with activity through the end of 2020, including the Foundation’s largest event of the year, Making a Difference, scheduled for September 23 at the Ritz in Clayton, and our 5th annual Women in the Workplace Scorecard Initiative on September 8th.
