A recent study found that nearly two-thirds of low-income women in the St. Louis region can’t always afford pads or tampons – often resorting to rags, diapers or paper towels. This issue is often referred to as “period poverty,” and has serious economic and health implications for women and girls.  Join us to connect with fellow program leaders, advocates and others as we learn more about this issue from a variety of local experts and seek tangible solutions and opportunities for action.

Panelists:

Anne Sebert Kuhlmann, Saint Louis University
Liza Weiss, Executive Director, Missouri Appleseed
Jessica Adams, Executive Director, Period Supplies Alliance
Senator Jill Schupp (tentative)

Moderated by Megan Armentrout, Incarnate Word Foundation
